STARTER (new productions)
This band was a gem in the Swiss underground music scene. During their active years from 1981 to 1989, STARTER made a fresh start time and again as the group reinvented itself repeatedly over the years with new and changing members. Francis Foss, the founder and head of the group, never imagined that he would enter a studio again after having retired from the music business more than 30 years earlier.
The inspiration to get back behind the microphone came from two musicians, Stephan Moser and Olivier Georges. For years, they have been producing music that sounds as if time had stood still sometime in the eighties. And yet, it sounds as fresh and captivating as ever. "No wonder", Olivier explains with a twinkle in his eye, "this is canned music - music made with original synthesizers, samplers and drum machines from the eighties that preserved the sounds and kept them fresh and alive through all these years."
"They caught me out of the blue with their sound," recalls Francis Foss. "It took me back to a time when the world was a very different place. I'm not a person who clings to the past. But these newly composed songs satisfy a longing in my soul to go back in time once again. That's why I agreed to revive the Starter project. And I'm glad I did, because it's still a lot of fun too!"

True Love / Vision on My Mind
This brandnew double A-Side maxi single by STARTER is strictly limited to 300 copies and is pressed on orange transparent vinyl. It comes in a disco sleeve (opening at the top) and is protected by a sturdy plastic cover.
After his furious comeback, STARTER frontman Francis Foss has fallen in love. In "True Love", one of the two new tracks on the upcoming maxi-single, he sings about the most overwhelming of all feelings. "Love is and always will be the most beautiful thing in the world," says the young-at-heart Francis with conviction.
When you turn the orange record over, you quickly realize: "Vision on My Mind" sounds more melancholic, darker. "Being in love has its mysterious side," Francis explains. "Dreams and reality often go hand in hand. Especially when the full moon rises over New York..."
